To facilitate is "to make easy or easier." One who facilitates is one who makes it easy for others to interact, discuss things and generally do what they have to do. A facilitator thinks through procedures and ways of doing that enable a group to gather and share cumulative insights, to order them, and then to decide on a course of action that has consensus and commitment backing it. This page provides examples of good facilitators in action.
